CS2 Jump on Scroll Wheel - Counter-Strike 2 Guide

CS2 Scroll Wheel Jump in Settings Menu

To bind Jump to Scroll Wheel using the in-game settings menu:

  • Go to Settings via the Cog symbol in the top right corner.
  • Select the ‘Keyboard/Mouse’ tab in the center right.
  • Scroll down to the Movement Keys section, or click on ‘Movement Keys’ at the top of the settings menu to jump to it.
  • Click on Jump, then perform the input you want to allocate - either scroll up or scroll down.

Note that rebinding Jump to your scroll wheel will leave the default scroll wheel action - previous/next weapon - unassigned.

CS2 Scroll Wheel Jump in Console

To bind Jump to Scroll Wheel using the console:

  • Ensure you have the console enabled in settings.
  • Press [`] to bring up the console.
  • Type bind mwheeldown +jump to bind Jump to Mouse Wheel Down.
  • Type bind mwheelup +jump to bind Jump to Mouse Wheel Up.
  • Type bind space +jump to bind Jump to Space.

Note that you can combine these binds by inputting them one after the other using ;

For example:

Bind mwheeldown +jump;bind mwheelup +jump;bind space +jump

will bind Jump to Mouse Wheel Down, Mouse Wheel Up, and Space.

Expert User Tip

Several veteran Counter-Strike players have observed that jumps performed using these console binds can be inconsistent, which is frustrating when attempting to achieve highly specific movement like bhops.

A video by Counter-Strike YouTuber Tripp explains how you may be able to achieve greater accuracy by using aliases to bind your jump commands. However, this may be patched in a future update.
