Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have been dating for three years, and have managed to keep their relationship relatively private for the duration of their relationship. They occasionally find themselves the subject of gossip surrounding the state of their relationship, and they’ve even dodged a few pregnancy rumors. In fact, earlier this year Mendes discussed her alleged pregnancy with Ellen DeGeneres on a visit to her talk show.
“It’s so ridiculous. It all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there’s a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out,” Mendes told DeGeneres when DeGeneres asked her if the pregnancy rumors were true.
However, a source close to the stars has come forward to confirm Mendes’ pregnancy, stating that the couple is expecting their first child. And not only is this source confirming Mendes is pregnant with Gosling’s child, the source is also claiming she’s more than seven months along in her pregnancy. This means that the couple has kept this secret all year and will welcome a baby in the next two months.
“She’s been ready for motherhood for a while now, and to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her,” another source confirmed in the same week.
The couple has been together since 2011. They began dating after working on, “The Place Beyond the Pines,” of which Mendes says, “He’s your dream costar. I have never felt so creatively satisfied on a film. He’s amazing,” of her first time working with Gosling. Gosling made his directorial debut earlier this year at Cannes, premiering “Lost River,” which the couple worked on together. Now Gosling and Mendes are working on the biggest collaboration of their lives; parenthood.
