Moreover, if you add alcohol to the mix, they can become lethal. That's what happened to a young man from South Africa, who died after drinking a whole bottle of Jagermeister in two minutes. All to win a 10 dollar bet.
The man, aged between 25 and 30, was in a liquor store in the Limpopo province (South Africa).
The liquor store launched a challenge to see who could drink a whole bottle of Jagermeister, which has an alcohol content of 35 percent, in the shortest time possible, with the winner receiving 200 rand, the equivalent of 10 dollars.
In the video which has spread around the internet, the man can be seen drinking while a group of people applaud as he swallows the liquor. After finishing the bottle, he is seen swinging back and forth, helped by a friend.

After collapsing and falling to the ground, he was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Limpopo Police confirmed an inquest has been opened.
"The winner who could consume the entire bottle of Jaegermeister within a specified time, would get R200 cash," Waterval police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo told reporters.
"One of them immediately collapsed thereafter and was taken to the local clinic, where he was certified dead."
